Mr. D.T. Devale
Retired Sr. Law Officer – MPCB

Mr. D.T. Devale is an expert in environmental law and solutions with a long-standing experience of 33 years as an advocate and legal adviser. Mr. Devale started his legal career in 1984. During his career, he has conducted more than 350 prosecutions on Maharashtra Pollution Control Board’s behalf with an extraordinary success rate of more than 65%. Mr. Devale is well-versed in environmental legislations, and he has handled more than 100 NGT applications and appeals under the provision of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010.

Mr. D.T. Devale retired as a Legal Head of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and worked as a legal head for MPCB for 30 years and served as a legal advisor to MPCB for two years, post-retirement. He is one of the best legal advisors for infrastructure and judicial projects. He is known for his interpretation of environmental legislation in judicial ways and ensuring the public’s best interest at large.

Mr. Devale has received multiple honors and awards, including the Maharashtra Icon Award 2013 by Art in Fashion and the CBR Asia JRD Tata EE Award 2014. He is the founder and ex-president of the Environment Club of India. Mr. Devale currently runs an environmental consultancy.

Mr. Saurabh Kulkarni

Mr. Saurabh Kulkarni is a practicing Advocate with an LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Birmingham. He also has completed BSL LLB and Diplomas from Asian School of Cyber Laws, Pune (India) in Mergers, Acquisitions & Takeovers (DMA) and Cyber Laws (DCL).

Mr. Kulkarni’s area of practice is Environmental Law, Labour Law, Industrial Laws, and Service Law. He has appeared before various Courts and Tribunals such as the National Green Tribunal, Pune & Delhi, High Court, Bombay and Supreme Court of India as a part of his work

At Present, Mr. Kulkarni manages his firm M/s D. V. Kulkarni & Co. and is the President of the NGT Bar Association Western Zone, Pune. His client profile includes various public sector undertakings government undertakings, Industrial associations, sugar factories, and many private companies, hospitals, and institutions

Mrs. Pradnya Thakur
Founder – Shashwat Eco Solution Foundation

Mrs. Pradnya Thakur is the founder of Shashwat Eco Solution Foundation, an NGO from Pune working with various corporate companies under Sustainability in Sanitation and Solid Waste Management.

Mrs. Thakur has a Diploma in decentralized Waste Water Treatment from the Norwegian University of Life Science, Norway. She has done various certifications and Trainer courses by International agencies like G.I.Z., Germany, and the Australian Institute of Water Management in Sanitation, Solid Waste Management, and Water. She has also worked on various committees on Policy Level at National and International.

Mrs. Thakur has also received many awards for her work, such as the Water Digest Water Award 2020 for Women Contribution in the Water sector in association with UNESCO India and Jalshakti Ministry Government of India, Best NGO Water Harvesting by UNESCO and Water Digest, Best NGO Waste Segregation by Bruhn Mumbai Municipal Corporation D South Zone and Phoenix Leading Lady Award for Social change in Sanitation.

Mr. Shivaji Aivale
Retired Regional Officer – MPCB

Mr. Shivaji Aivale is a retired Regional Officer from Maharashtra Pollution Control Board with 34 years of experience in tackling environmental issues in all types of industries, specifically Agro-based industries such as sugar factories including crushing/Co-Gen/Distillery, food processing / milk processing, steel plants, automobile, food processing, cement units, Chemical, petrochemical, IT and other companies.

During his work, Mr. Aivale participated in the team appointed to prepare the Krishna River action plan. He worked in various Water Waste Water/Air/ Sound/ HW/ MSW/BMW, pollution control activities/surveys. Mr. Aivale was responsible for preparing guidelines for the effective management of municipal solid waste (MSW). He actively handled installations / augmentations of pollution control systems by various polluting units and local bodies and Delivered lectures on various environmental issues at various organizations.

Mr. Sandeep S. Jaibahar
